International relations and main international actions

MSLU is a member of the Conférence Internationale d’Instituts Universitaires de Traducteurs et Interprètes (CIUTI), Consortium of Humanitarian Universities of the SCO Member States, Global Alliance of Foreign Studies Universities (GAFSU), as well as of the International Association of Universities which have signed the United Nations Memorandum of Understanding. MSLU plays an active role in the Association for the Languages and Cultures of the CIS members and is a permanent member of the International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL). Association of Teachers of English, Association of Teachers of German and Association of Teachers of French are functioning on the MSLU basis. MSLU has over 120 cooperation agreements with higher educational institutions from 29 countries of the world. 

Living conditions for foreign students

International students are provided with accommodation in comfortable and well-furnished rooms of the University dormitories.

Application submission 

List of documents to get an invitation to study in MSLU

  1. Application form;
  2. Copy of international passport (only the page with a photo) and its translation into Russian certified by a notary;
  3. Copy of diploma\degree certificate with transcript of records (a school leaving certificate/a high school degree/a diploma of the college-to enter a bachelor degree program); (a bachelor degree certificate - to enter a Master’s degree program) and its translation into Russian certified by a notary.

After receiving the applicant’s documents, MSLU prepares an official invitation and sends it to the Consulate of the Republic of Belarus at the country of the applicant’s residence.

Before arrival to Belarus a foreign applicant need to obtain:

  • medical certificate;
  • free HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) certificate.

Upon arrival at MSLU all the above-mentioned original documents and their translations into Russian certified by a notary should be submitted to the International Partnerships Office of MSLU. In addition to that, the applicant’s international passport is to be translated into Russian and certified by a notary in Belarus.

Cultural life

The university has a large sports complex equipped with modern facilities that provide opportunities for athletic participation and physical training at all levels. International students can choose from a variety of sports: football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, fitness, athletics, gymnastics and taekwondo, among others. Tennis, fitness and aerobic facilities are also available in the halls of residence.

The students can develop their creative talents through a variety of activities: choral and pop singing, folk, modern and classical dance, youth drama theatre, instrumental music and a wide range of other activities.
