International relations and main international actions

The Department of International Relations of BSUPC was established in 1998 as an independent unit under the control of the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs. For more than 10 years, the department has done a lot of work in the field of international activity. Currently, the University has concluded more than 60 international agreements on cooperation with partner universities from 19 countries.

The goal of the BSUPC’s Department of International Relations is to support the integration of the University into the international educational community, gain additional opportunities to enhance teaching and make the University more attractive compared to other educational institutions.

To achieve its main goal, the department performs the following tasks:

  • Establishment and development of effective and mutually beneficial partnerships with foreign universities, scientific and cultural institutions, the preparation of bilateral agreements and cooperation programmes in the field of education, science, sports and tourism.
  • Assistance in organizing and conducting international scientific and practical conferences, symposia, workshops, and exhibitions at the University;
  • Participation of the University in international projects and programmes;
  • Sending teachers and students of the University abroad for studying, internships, research activities and exchange of experience;
  • Dealing with international students of the university. Assisting the organization of training and updating foreign citizens in cooperation with corresponding structural units of the University.

The Department of International Relations is responsible for the international cooperation of the University and is designed to assist international students during their education.

Living conditions for foreign students

  • Housing at the BSUPC dormitory: approximately 25-30 USD per month;
  • Medical screening in Minsk Student’s Clinic No. 33 (100 USD);
  • Annual medical screening (during the next years of study) (100 USD);
  • Compulsory health insurance, on the basis of which foreign students receive medical aid in insured events (170 EUR per year);
  • Passport registration at Minsk Department of Citizenship and Migration: approximately 60 USD per year.

How to Apply

Belarusian State University of Physical Culture pays special attention to the foreign students’ education. Our university does the best to integrate foreign students in Belarusian living environment and culture surroundings, to create comfort conditions for studies, leisure and sports activities. The university extended the deadline for the foreigners’ entrance applications. The number of Russian language lessons was increased, and what is more, BSUPC provides foreign students the opportunity to handle the favorite sports.

If foreign applicants want to enter BSUPC, they need to present to the International Department the following documents, as well as to get studying invitation. The invitation is the requirement for visa in Belarusian Embassy [1] in foreign country (for countries where visa is needed [2] ):

1. The passport and its notarised translation into Russian (if it is not in Russian);
2. The certificate of recognition of a document on education issued in a foreign country and establishing its equivalence (conformity) to a document on education of Republic of Belarus;
3. The medical certificate and its notarised translation into Russian (if it is not in Russian);
4. HIV-test certificate and its notarised translation into Russian (if it is not in Russian);
5. The birth certificate/copy of the birth certificate and its notarised translation into Russian (if it is not in Russian);
6. Pre-University Preparation Certificate or the Preparatory Department Certificate (if you don’t have it you will have the examination in Russian language at BSUPC);
7. The application addressed to the head of educational establishment in the prescribed form;
8. To take invitation foreign applicant should send the copies of these documents via e-mail, mail or fax.
