International relations and main international actions
Yanka Kupala State University carries out international activities within the framework of 245 cooperation agreements with foreign universities and organizations from 33 countries. The University is also a member of 17 international associations and networks.
Staff and students of YKSUG visit foreign universities and organizations to undergo training/internships, share experiences, give lectures, conduct researches and participate in international projects, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, cultural events, sporting and other activities within the framework of Intergovernmental agreements, International cooperation agreements etc.
For the first time in 2015 Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno held Russian Language Summer School, brought together 26 participants from 9 countries, such as Poland, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Czech Republic and USA. In addition to the Russian language classes participants had an opportunity to enjoy fascinating excursions around Grodno and Belarus and also took part in meetings with local craftsmen who held workshops on traditional folk art for the guests.

Living conditions for foreign students
Each foreign student is provided with a place in the university hostel.
Residence in the hostel of the University (depending on a room and facilities of the hostel) - 30-50 USD per month.
How to Apply
Foreign students intending to study at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno have to receive an invitation letter which allows to open a study visa in the consular office of the Republic of Belarus.
To receive an invitation for study at Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno foreign citizens must provide the University with the following documents:
For Bachelor's Degree Course or for the Preparatory department:

2. Notarized passport translation into Russian or Belarusian
3. Copy of the certificate of education with all the subjects and received marks
4. Notarized translation of the certificate of education with all the subjects and received marks

For Master's Degree Course:
1. Passport copy
2. Notarized passport translation into Russian or Belarusian
3. Copy of Bachelor's Degree Diploma (with Apostille or Legalization)
4. Copy of Supplement to Bachelor's Degree Diploma to with all the subjects and received marks (with Apostille or Legalization)
5. Notarized translation of Bachelor's Degree Diploma (with Apostille or Legalization) into Russian or Belarusian
6. Notarized translation of Supplement to Bachelor's Degree Diploma to with all the subjects and received marks (with Apostille or Legalization) into Russian or Belarusian
7. Application for study
After crossing the border of the Republic of Belarus and arriving in Grodno foreign citizens must address to the Recruiting and registration of international citizens department to present the following documents for admission:
For Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens:

Application for admission in accordance with the established form;

Education document with all the subjects and marks received at the examinations;

Medical conclusion about the state of his or her health, the results of the AIDS analyses and fluorography test results, given by an official organization of the country from which an applicant comes;

Conclusion of the medical consultative commission issued by the territorial health organization of the Republic of Belarus;

Birth certificate copy, certified in accordance with the established procedure

For Bachelor’s degree course:

Application for admission in the name of the Rector in accordance with the established by the Ministry of Education form;

Original of education documents with indication of all the subjects and marks received at the examinations;

Original of the bachelor’s degree certificate with supplement, issued in the Republic of Belarus or educational document with indication of subjects and hours, received marks, issued abroad and certificate of recognition of educational document issued abroad and confirmation of its equivalence to the bachelor’s degree certificate in the Republic of Belarus.

All the documents issued in foreign language, their legalization or apostille must be accompanied by their translation into Russian. All the documents’ translations except passport translation must be verified by the notary.

Cultural life
There are more than 30 Fraternities of foreign students at the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Fraternities have pages in social networks Instagram. An Alumni Association of foreign citizens has been established, represented in various social networks. The project "Commonwealth" is being implemented, the main goal of which is to educate students of high culture of interethnic communication.
