The goal of the project:

is based on needs and strategies of educational institutions which take part in the project, and on the socio-economic situation in the Republic of Belarus

The main aims of the project:

• to increase competitiveness of 5 Belarus HEIs: SBMT, BSPU, PIMB,VSTU, BSUIR (P2-P6) offering high-quality higher education that meets the changing needs of the economic environment
• assistance in increase of competencies of specialists in the IT field and improvement of the quality of higher education which meets changing needs of the economy of the Republic of Belarus and requirements of the Bologna process

Specific objectives:

• Development of modern competencies of specialists in IT field.
• Modernization of syllabi training IT specialists, development and implementation of 5 new flexible programmes on the bachelor level based on new approaches, European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) into a line with Bologna requirements.
• Bringing 25 modern courses, implementing innovative teaching / learning methods and tools.
• Purchasing special equipment for 5 eLearning laboratories for partner universities from Belarus.
• Project is of duration of 3 years. It started on the 15 th of October, 2016 and will end on the 14 th of October, 2019.

Living conditions for foreign students 

University hostels are well-designed and furnished for comfortable living and are provided for all international students.

Hobby and sports clubs, recreational and sports events, competitions, concerts, etc. are organized and held in the hostels.

The main and unique advantage is that hostels and academic buildings are compactly located on th eterritory of the University.

Hostels have specially equipped kitchens and a laundry room with washing machines.

In one of the hostels there is Health and REcreation REsort, which offers theraputic treatment.

Since 22.12.2014 in the University hostels  there is a police guard post, the duty time of which is determined from 23.00 to 03.00

Cultural life

University students actively participate in various amateur societies. They take part in a large number of activities held at the University as well as in the national and international events. The Students Fashion HOuse has been winni8ng awards at the Republican festival of youth art "Art vacation" for 5 consecutive years. The students are the winners of the Republican contest "Queen Spring", take an active pert in the international Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazar in Vitebsk"
